Upon returning to college, I attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and graduated with a dual major in Special Education and Elementary Education.

I began teaching at Brock Elementary in 1998. I have been teaching kindergarten here at Brock for the past 18 years. It has been such a joy to watch hundreds of students become readers, mathmeticians, thinkers & great learners.
Prior to this, I taught PPCD (preschool program for children with disabilities) in Aledo for 2 years and taught Pre-Kindergarten in Pilot Point for 2 years.
I married my husband, Doug, in June of 1986. We currently live in Fort Worth, TX and have a lakehouse on Palo Pinto Lake. We have 2 grown children, Skyler and Kyndra. My children both graduated from Brock High School. I have 2 grandchildren – Carter and Harlow. My grandchildren are my great joy in life. My favorite thing to do is spend time with them.
I love to read. I am an avid reader and enjoy almost any type of book. I spend a lot of time just sitting on my backporch, staring at the lake and watching the sunset in the evenings. In the early mornings, I love coffee, and quiet time spent studying my Bible and staring at the lake. If you haven’t figured it out, I love the water. I enjoy skiing (both water and snow), jet skiing, riding in the boat, watching my grandkids tube, kayaking, hiking, and Jeep rides. I love to be active and I love to be outdoors.
