I started working with elementary students in Brock in 1992. At the time, school counselors specifically for elementary students was a novel concept. Brock joined in with four other small Parker County school districts to write a grant for two elementary counselors to be shared among the five districts. As the need for a full-time elementary school counselor grew, and the grant money began to run out, the other districts eventually dropped out ot the grant and hired their own. In 2000, I officially became “sole property” of Brock I.S.D.
Before I started my career as an elementary school counselor, I worked for Aledo I.S.D. I was a high school science teacher for three years and one year as a junior high counselor/science teacher. Before Aledo, I worked in Dublin I.S.D. for two years as a middle school science teacher.
I have been married to J. Bryan Davis since 1986. We have two adult children, a boy and girl, both married and living in Dallas.
We have lived in the Stephenville area since 2003. Most of my family lives there and my husband’s business is there.
